English Tests at Home – Improving Spelling, Grammar and Comprehension
The Right2Learn service delivers a series of English tests for primary aged children aged 5 to 11 in a child friendly manner. This innovative online facility provides English practice tests in key areas such as spelling, grammar and reading comprehension, matched to relevant sections of the national curriculum. Visually stimulating, the English assessment questions are set by teachers, and delivered on timers to build children’s confidence when taking English tests under timed conditions.
The tests are marked automatically and immediate feedback provided to children, along with explanation notes from teachers, to facilitate the understanding in each area. An additional English practice question is then included within each explanation for further practice and to enable the parent to confirm the child’s learning. Thus, parents are able to independently monitor their children’s English progress, and both identify and begin to address further areas for development from the convenience of their own home.
“Right2Learn has been tried and tested in many schools and households across the country. The support and involvement from parents is a key aspect in enabling children to achieve their potential. This is an excellent service, which is enjoyable and appropriate to use for children, whilst providing parents with valuable information that can make a real difference to their children’s progress”
